Active play and strength training are best?safety measure to stay away from childhood obesity.?? Human body consists of muscles bones and joints. And staying health physically is taking care of our muscles bones and joints. These muscles and joints get stronger with exercise and physical activity. Therefore it is important to take care of our body by exercising and keeping it active all the time.

Inside a human body there are almost 650 muscles and makes half of a person?s body weight. Humans have three different kinds of muscles.

So muscular strength is very important for staying healthy. Because of this reason it is important for the kids to strengthen muscles by exercising. Strong and health muscles will provide several health benefits

  • Once muscles are healthy and strong from the childhood onwards and maintained, problems like arthritis, osteoporosis, and tendinitis will not arise in the later stages of life.

Age Guidelines for strength training

There is no specific age limit provided for kids, but as a general activity rule at the age of 7-8 a child can start muscle strengthening exercise. But doctors approval and child?s readiness is important before starting any exercise program.

Specific exercises should be practiced without resistance and when kids have mastered the technique, small amounts of resistance can be used. Use, free weights exercise, weight machines, and resistance band training, or body weight for the kids to build muscles. An exercise trainer who has the special skill specially for coaching kids have to be present all the time during the exercise to guide.

1.? It is best to be careful and get pediatrician doctors approval and health check up for the child for strength training program.

2.? Muscles strains are a common injury that happens because the child has not used the proper lifting technique or is trying to life too much weight. So be careful.

Weight workout Routine

Make sure the exercise is done three times a week under the supervision of an exercise trainer. Start with 8-15 repetitions of one exercise. Only six to eight different exercise must be performed at one time.

Strength training is going to be one part of a fitness workout program. However, cheer-leading games, gymnastics for toddlers and kids, modified push-ups workout, rock climbing wall, skipping rope exercise, sit-ups or ab crunches, swings on play ground bars are some of the activities that will provide strength to the muscles.

Exercise for the strong bones

Bones provide great support to our body. The human body has 206 bones which began to develop at birth and keep growing for almost 18-20 years depending on the physical growth and structure of childhood development stages of every child. Bones for a growing body need more attention more exercise and more nutrition. Bone building continues through out life as body reshapes the bones living tissue.

A general conception is to eat and drink calcium (milk) to make bones but bones need exercise and activity to be strong and build well.

Active play that includes free play also helps in building strong bones.

Walking exercise, running, hopping, skipping rope exercise, jumping exercises, playing basket ball, modified gymnastics for toddlers and kids, tennis, and volley ball all are good activities for building strong bones body and prevent obesity.

These activities not only help prevent obesity and build strong bodies for life but also create lots of social, behavioral, strengths to create a positive personality.
