Gators in the NBA

Two former Gators, David Lee and Joakim Noah, were named to their respective conference?s roster for NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 17. In addition to the two, ten former players are active in the NBA this season.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards

Beal has been playing through an injury and could possibly miss the next game for Washington. He scored in double-figures twice last week and blocked a career-best four shots against Chicago on Saturday, January 26. Beal is averaging 13.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and 2.5 apg for the Wizards.

Matt Bonner, San Antonio Spurs

Bonner has played in 40 games for San Antonio this season, averaging 4.0 pph and 2.0 rpg. This past week, Bonner scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds in four games.

Corey Brewer, Denver Nuggets

Brewer has played in every game for Denver this year, averaging 11.2 ppg and 3.3 rpg. In the team?s last outing against Indiana on Monday, January 28, Drewer recorded 16 points off the bench.

Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat

Haslem and fellow former Gator Mike Miller visited the White House this past week with the Miami Heat, the 2012 NBA Champions. The team?s all-time leader in rebounds has played in 39 games this season, starting 23. He is averaging 3.6 ppg and 5.5 rpg. Against Toronto on Wednesday, January 23, Haslem pulled down 10 rebounds which marked the fourth time this year he had recorded at least 10 boards.

Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks

Like Beal, Horford is fighting injuries as of late. He missed one game early last week, but came back against Boston on Friday, January 25 and recorded 24 points and 13 rebounds. It marked his sixth double-double of the month. On the season, Horford is averaging 15.9 ppg and 9.8 rpg.

David Lee, Golden State Warriors

The now two-time All-Star Lee is currently tied for sixth in rebounding and is the 12th-leading scorer in the league, averaging 19.6 ppg and 10.9 rpg. This past week, Lee recorded at least 20 points in all five of Golden State?s games. He also had four doubles-doubles.

Mike Miller, Miami Heat

In 37 games, Miller is averaging 3.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg. Last week, Miller played in two games for Miami, scoring two points and pulling down five rebounds.

Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls

The first-time All-Star Noah had a monstrous week on the boards last week, averaging an absurd 17.3 rpg in four games. With this amazing stretch, he raised his rebounding average 0.6 ppg and is now ranked third in the league in rebounding. Along with Lee, Noah is one of nine players in the league to be averaging a double-double (12.1 ppg and 11.3 rpg).

Chandler Parsons, Houston Rockets

Parsons is averaging 14.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 3.6 apg for Houston in 46 games this year. He scored in double figures in three of four games this past week. Parsons also tallied a double-double, 16 points and a career-best 11 assists, for his first double-double of that variety in his career.

Marresse Speights, Cleveland Cavaliers

Since joining Cleveland last week, Speights has found his scoring touch. He has scored at least 10 points in every game he has played in for the Cavaliers. Speights is averaging 7.0 ppg and 4.8 rpg this season.
